FC COMMUNITY ANNOUNCE MEN’S TEAM PLANS

FC Community of Liverpool are excited to announce plans for a men’s first team, which will begin competing in the 2026-27 season.

As part of this milestone, the club have applied to join the Liverpool County Premier League structure.

The new men’s arm will join Jay Maguire’s FCC Women side and our existing youth structure to complete our three equal key pillars of the club: Men, Women and Community.

As a key aspect of this significant development for the club, we are pleased to announce the appointment of our men’s management team, with James Bush appointed as Manager, assisted by Liam Dickinson and Ronnie McCarthy.

James has a wealth of experience and joins us having worked in elite youth development for professional clubs in the North West.

He has a UEFA B license and is currently a Foundation Phase coach with a League One club.

Alongside this, James’s CV includes several years coaching at Step 4 of the Non-League pyramid and he is well connected in the local football community.

Liam Dickinson joins Bush’s management team after a recent spell as manager of Flint Mountain in the Cymru North division of the Welsh football pyramid.

Dickinson is also a UEFA B licensed coach whose CV also boasts a period coaching at Glossop North End in the Northern Premier League, as well as key experience at Step 7. Liam has been a key figure assisting James Bush in laying down plans for the forthcoming season.

Ronnie McCarthy joins the club with significant experience in both men’s semi-professional football, and the local football pyramid as a player.

Ronnie was part of Runcorn Linnets’ NWCFL Premier Division winning team and has also worn the colours of Skelmersdale United and Burscough.

In local football, he has previously represented Admiral Park in the Liverpool County Premier Division as well as the Aigburth Arms in the prestigious FA Sunday Cup Final.

Speaking on his appointment as manager, James Bush said, “I am delighted to join the club as men’s first team manager. This is such an exciting project and one I’m determined to make sure gets off to a positive start”.

“It was an easy decision to join the club knowing the great people who are running everything behind the scenes, and I’m only looking forward to working with them more”.

“It’s safe to say the work is well underway for next season already and I’m looking forward to welcoming in a group of lads who’ll be committed and give their all, as will we as the management staff”.

“We are looking forward to seeing you all next season!”

We are sure all members will join us in welcoming James, Liam and Ronnie to FC Community.
