FC Community travel to Southport on Sunday 3rd May for the final fixture of the League Cup group stage, with a semi-final place on the line. A win or a draw is enough to take us through.
It’s a step up. Southport play in the LWYFL Premier, a division above us.
Last weekend’s 2-2 at Burscough was a hard-earned point, twice taking the lead and twice pegged back. Plenty to take from it. The side stuck at it for the full ninety and that’s what’s needed again on Sunday.
A note on the venue. The fixture is being played at the JMO Sports Park in Skelmersdale (WN8 8BX). Members planning to travel are encouraged to allow extra time for the journey and check directions in advance.
