The senior women are back at Admiral Park this weekend, University of Liverpool the visitors, and the league season winding down with a few things still to play for.
Last week was a brilliant result. A 2-1 win at Southport, against a side from the league above, and a place in the cup semi final against Tranmere Rovers waiting at the end of it.
The playoff spot is already secured, so the league table can take care of itself. What matters now is rhythm, sharpness and finishing strong before the bigger games arrive. There’s a strong squad to pick from, plenty of options across the pitch, and the reverse fixture earlier in the season ended 4-4 at theirs, which tells its own story about where these two teams tend to meet.
Kick off at 1:30pm at Admiral Park. Entry is free, the bar and balcony will be open and there’s plenty of room for the members who’ve been turning up week after week.
