FC Community 4 v 1 Warrington Rylands

A slow start, a half-time reset, and four second-half goals saw FC Community come from behind to beat Warrington Rylands 4–1 at Admiral Park.

The greens struggled to get going in the first half. Rylands controlled possession and limited FCC to very little, capitalising on a sluggish opening 25 minutes with a well-placed finish to take the lead. The half-time whistle couldn’t come soon enough.

The second half was a different story. Kishaya Stewart levelled things up early on, and Mercy Darkoah followed shortly after to put FCC ahead for the first time. Stewart then added her second of the afternoon before Nicola Jones completed the scoring to wrap up a comfortable win in the end.

Keira Summer Hayes was named player of the match after deputising in goal for the suspended Emilia Partridge — a composed display given the circumstances.

Off the pitch, it was a great afternoon at Admiral Park. Lovely to see so many people down there — new faces alongside the regulars. That kind of support doesn’t go unnoticed and it meant a lot to the players. Cheers to everyone who made it.

Next fixture: Away to Liverpool University, Saturday 8th March.
